Sylvia is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of Balystics. She is an accomplished cybersecurity professional with over 20 years of experience in creating, improving, and managing medium to complex cybersecurity programs for the Federal government, commercial industry, and intelligence community. As a consultant, she has had both leadership and hands-on roles in the areas of Security Architecture, Security Engineering, Security Assessments, Risk Management, and Continuous Monitoring. She has spent the past several years of her career assessing large enterprise security and infrastructure architectures, helping organizations to identify and prioritize risks, and communicating enterprise risk to senior leadership teams. She has directly supported: Defense Intelligence Agency, Missile Defense Agency, Department of Homeland Security – Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Federal Aviation Administration, Transportation Security Administration, Office of Personnel Management, and US Securities and Exchange Commission.
